The Nagara Bhavan in Poharadevi is theBanjara Virasat Nangara Museum, a four-story museum that showcases the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Banjara community. Poharadevi, located in the Washim district of Maharashtra, is a significant pilgrimage center for the Banjara community, often called their “Kashi”. 

About the 

Banjara Virasat Nangara Museum

: 

  • Purpose: The museum was established to preserve and promote the legacy of the Banjara community, including its leaders, historical movements, and artifacts.
  • Galleries: It features thirteen galleries with historical exhibits that depict the Banjara way of life.
  • Statue: A 150-foot Sevadhwaj (flagpole) with an equestrian statue of Sant Sevalal Maharaj is a prominent feature.
  • Light and Music Show: The museum offers a daily light and music laser show in the evening.
  • Inauguration: The museum was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India on October 5, 2024
